Overview:
For years I've been collecting Arisaka rifles and helping identify them for other collectors online, but I realized there isn't a lot of information available in one source online for different variants of these rifles. This can be especially difficult with Type 99's, as even among one series of rifles there are many different variants. With this website I hope to help others identify their Arisaka Type 99 and see the change in features over the course of production.
This site is not meant to be a source of the history of the development of Type 99's and other Arisaka rifles, but rather to help an individual compare the features of their rifle to other know examples from a particular series.
Hopefully you will find this website useful in your goal to learn more about this underappreciated series of rifle!
